OFFICE OF RESIDENCE LIFE MISSION

The mission of the Office of Residence Life is to establish and maintain a holistic living, learning and developmental environment that will enhance a student's growth towards individual self-actualization and positive involvement in the world community. The Office of Residence Life recognizes the responsibility to maintain an atmosphere in which students and faculty/staff may pursue the mission of the University under favorable conditions.

OFFICE OF RESIDENCE LIFE GOALS

  1. To provide living quarters which are safe, functional, clean, attractive and comfortable.
  2. To ensure the safety and security of all members of the University community within the Living Learning Centers, and to encourage community members to accept mutual responsibility for safety and security.
  3. To assist the resident student in acquiring a better understanding of him/herself, his/her abilities, motivation, interests, aptitude and limitations.
  4. To create an environment in the Living Learning Centers that is conducive to academic achievemetn and intellectual stimulation.
  5. To provide the opportunity for student-faculty-administration-staff contact within the Living Learning Centers.
  6. To provide programs and activities in the Living Learning Centers which encourage students to develop their leadership skills and overall wellness, as well as to express their co-curricular talents and interests.
